The Humber Junior Squash Academy was well represented at the recent British Junior Squash championship held at the headquarters of England squash, Sport City, Manchester.
The Humber Academy had 3 very notable achievers at the event, held over 4 days. In the Girls U19s Charlotte Kirkwood exceeded her ranking position beating the number 4 seed along the way to finish a fantastic 8th place.
In the Boys U13 event Yusef Forster continued his great form after recently winning the regional and county championships by finishing 7th from a starting field of the top 48 players in Britain.
The perfect end to the championship was the crowning of James Earles as the new British Junior Champion in the Boys U19s. James has recently gone professional sponsored by Hull City owner Dr Assem Allam. James in his after match interview thanked Dr Allam saying without his help he would not have been able to improve his squash to reach this new level. James demonstrated tremendous quality beating his arch rival, Declan James 3-1 to take the title.
Dr Allam was extremely proud of the Hull players as Allam Marine has sponsored the Humber Junior Squash Academy for the last 3 years and recently agreed sponsorship with James Earles in his transition to senior squash and Yusef Forster in his junior squash career.
